The Retreat

Sleeps 5 (2 bedrooms)

Visit England 4 Star Self Catering

This traditional semi-detached cottage has been tastefully renovated to retain its original character with exposed beams throughout.

Situated in the heart of Chapel Amble village, which boasts the Maltsters Arms, a charming 16th century pub and restaurant serving good food and ale, plus a small shop.

This is the perfect place for couples for that romantic break - spend a few days away and treat yourself to a meal in one of the many excellent local restaurants in the area.

Extracts from the The Retreat Guest Book:

We had a fantastic time in your beautiful cottage, thank you.

What a lovely little cottage and so cosy and welcoming.  We have had a fabulous week - visiting Polzeath, Port Quinn, Port Isaac and a trip to Padstow on bikes.  It has been a trip down memory lane for my daughter who last came here when she was 8.  Looking forward to our next visit.

Thank you for a lovely stay in the Retreat - a visit to the Olde House in Chapel Amble is always a treat.  Super lucky with the weather.  Wonderfully private and quiet.  Highly recommend.

Thank you for the cream tea and flowers which have made your cottage special.  We have really enjoyed our stay in your well equipped cottage and the facilities at the Olde House.  Thank you Elaine for your warm welcome.

Thank you for a lovely stay in this cosy cottage.  We have been very lucky with the weather, enjoying long walks and beautiful beaches.   I hope I come again (Noah aged 7).

We have had another wonderful holiday at the Retreat.  One of the best cottages we have stayed in.  The weather has been superb so have been very fortunate.
